A selection of short films written, directed, edited and produced by Andrew Dixon in his attempt to learn the art of the film making - from scratch with no budget and limited resources. Made possible by the enthusiastic involvement of a handful of Golden Bay locals.

 Golden Bay promotional piece all recorded on a Samsumg S6 and edited on imovie. The sound track was supposed to sound more like Ian Drury’s ‘Sweet Gene Vincent’ but by the time I finally got it down to one minute exactly, I was so over it, the cheesy country version had to do.

LIVE BAIT. My first foray into script writing, story boarding and working with a camera operator. Also involved sewing a small pink dress and scuba diving.

CAPTAIN COOKER. The next step - dialogue and sound recording. This would have been much easier if we’d actually had a sound recordist!
